Faith in the Waiting: Finding Peace in God’s Plan
Waiting seasons are some of the hardest parts of life. Whether it’s waiting for an opportunity, a breakthrough, or clarity about what’s next, the in-between can feel like silence — like God has pressed pause. But it’s in the waiting that faith is forged.
Faith isn’t just believing God can move; it’s trusting Him even when He hasn’t — yet. It’s choosing to rest in the truth that His timing is perfect and His plan is good, even when our own plans fall apart. Scripture reminds us in Isaiah 26:3, “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.” That peace doesn’t come from knowing what will happen — it comes from knowing who holds the outcome.
When you surrender the timeline and stop trying to control the “when” or the “how,” something changes. The waiting becomes worship. The unknown becomes an invitation to trust deeper. You realize that even if the outcome looks different than what you prayed for, God’s hand is still all over it.
So if you’re in a waiting season, breathe. Keep showing up. Keep praying. Keep believing. God isn’t late — He’s preparing something that will make sense in His time. And when you find peace in that truth, you’ll see that waiting on God was never wasted time.
